It is the first stop in Brooklyn on the L line (14th St is where you catch it). It is most easy if you are in one of the last two cars on the train comming from manhattan. When you arrive at Bedford St., the first stop in Brooklyn, you will be right by the stairway that leaves you on Bedford and N. 7th. A left turn will take you past some cute shops as the street numbers decrease. After N 1st St. you'll cross Grand St., and South 1st is next. Turn right and come 2.5 blocks down to # 51. From my last previous location on Elizabeth Street just for a place to start, from Nolita, make a right on Houston Street, the first right on 3rd ave which is also called Bowery St.( below Houston), then be in the left lane for a left turn on Delancy Street heading toward the Williamsburgh bridge which is visible ahead. You want to be in one of the two right lanes as you enter the bridge and and upon exiting in Brooklyn you want to be in the most right lane. Exiting the bridge you will be making a sharp right turn onto Broadway and follow it down to the water, turn right there on Kent Ave and another right a few blocks ahead onto South 1st. Back to the bridge to town it's the 5th right onto Roebling and the bridge entrance is just up ahead.
